RNS 850 и RCD550
RNS 850 и RCD550
Оригинальный пресс-релиз на английском Radio and radio-navigation systems in detail RCD 550 with touchscreen: The audio/navigation systems of the Touareg are new developments. Standard equipment here is the "RCD 550" radio-CD system with 6.5-inch touchscreen, MP3 and MP4 play¬back function, "AUX-IN" multimedia port and integrated 6-disc CD changer. RNS 850 with 60-Gigabyte hard drive and DAB: As an option, this infotainment module can be upgraded to the "RNS 850" navigation system with DVD player, voice control and an 8-inch touchscreen. Its features include 3D map representation (buildings and topographic representation via "Digital Terrain Model"). Supplying the techni¬cal foundation here are a 60-Gigabyte hard drive, high-performance processor (SH4), 256 MB RAM and 256 MB flash memory. In parallel to classic FM and AM radio reception, European versions of the "RNS 850" offer digital high-end DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) radio reception. Up-to-date radio reports can be output as text on the display. Even more: Upon request, a slideshow can show data as images. For example, when VFL Wolfsburg plays against VFB Stuttgart in the German national soccer league, the 1:0 score of the Wolfsburg team could be added as visual information in the display, including supplemental information and standings table - this would also work if the Stuttgart team were in the lead. In addition, the system can of course be extended to offer a Bluetooth interface for telephones ("Premium" mobile telephone prep including SIM card slot), "MEDIA IN" multimedia port with USB adapter cable or iPod/iPhone adapter cable, a DVD changer in the boot (for six DVDs) and the new Dynaudio "Confidence" sound system with digital 12-channel amplifier, ten loudspeakers and a total power of 620 Watt. Navigation in detail: European map data is pre-loaded on the system's hard drive, not only in 2D, but in 3D. 3D not only offers a perspective view of the maps, rather it offers a genuine 3D representation of the topography of important buildings and attractions via what is known as the "Digital Terrain Model". On a drive that winds through the moun¬tains, the depicted route actually shows mountain cliffs and passes. In larger cities, orientation is simplified by the "3D City Model" that shows profiles of buildings. Many important structures such as significant cathedrals in the style of the cathedral of Cologne, the Notre Dame in Paris, La Catedral in Barcelona or the cathedral of Florence are also depicted three-dimensionally right down to the finest detail. When these map elements are touched - special attraction, TMC or favourites symbol - additional information is shown; at the same time, other operating steps such as navigating to special attractions can be activated. In France and Great Britain, traffic reports are also inte¬grated via PayTMC premium services (France: "ViaMichelin"; Great Britain: "TrafficMaster"). In addition, the system offers a toll function and compatibility with the Japanese "VICS" traffic radio. Naturally, destinations can also be taken from the mobile telephone. And finally, the system shows speed limits across Europe. Another feature that has been simplified significantly is voice control. After pressing the voice control key on the standard multifunction steering wheel, the entire address can be input in a single expression. Example: "Berlin, Willy-Brand-StraEe 1". In this case, the Touareg guides its occupants directly to the German Chancellor at the Federal Chancellery. It is just as easy to input special destinations by voice command. The system not only accepts voice commands; it can also communicate with the driver - as in optional speech output of traffic reports. Media library in detail: Exactly 18 Gigabytes of the hard drive are reserved for the media library; music and videos can be loaded here from CD, DVD or SD cards. Voice control can be used as an alternative for playback. Simply say the artist, album or title and you are done. Mobile devices like the iPod and iPhone, USB sticks and even USB hard drives can be connected via the adapter cable for the "MEDIA-IN" inter¬face in the glove box. Even the album cover can be displayed during playback in the style of modern mobile telephones. It is also possi¬ble to play back music data from a mobile phone via the "A2DP" and "AVRCP" Bluetooth protocols. Images from digital cameras can also be transferred via an AV cable. Last but not least, the RNS 850 can be up¬graded by adding a module for analogue and digital (DVB-T) television reception, including programming info. |
